Japan comes to You
Join us for training with Steve Olsen (Shihan, Bujinkan Dojo). Steve has been training in Japan since 2001. He trains with Someya Sensei and Nagato Sensei and Soke weekly. Our January 30th and 31st seminar themes will include:
- Rokushakubou & katana
If you regularly read our blog, you will have heard of Steve; he is a top level practitioner of our art. He lives in Japan, he regularly translates for our teachers in Japan and he recently published “Masaaki Hatsumi: Dojo Art” at Soke’s request. Come train with us to gain his insights into our art!
To accommodate a large number of participants using Rokushakubou & katana, class will be held at the Arroyo Vista Park Recreational Center in the Gymnasium.4550 Tierra Rejada Rd. , Moorpark CA 93021.
Taijutsu classes will be held at Todai Bujinkan Dojo.
Travel time between venues is approx. 10 minutes by car.

Saturday, January 30th
5:00pm – 7:00pm | Rokushakubo & Katana (Arroyo Vista Park Gymnasium)
7:30pm – 9:00pm | Taijutsu (Todai Dojo)
Sunday, January 31st
10:00am – 12:00pm | Rokushakubo & Katana (Arroyo Vista Park Gymnasium)
1:00pm – 3:00pm | Taijutsu (Todai Dojo)
What to Bring
If you are driving to the event, please bring a bokken and rokushakubo. If you have extra please feel free to bring more to share.

We recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Simi Valley, approximately 10 minutes by car from the venue.

We are negotiating a group rate for 10 or more guests. Please indicate in your order if you will be staying at the hotel, and we will provide a link to book at the group rate once the necessary number of guests is reached.
If you are flying in the closest major airport is Bob Hope in Burbank, approx. 40 minutes from the hotel. You may also fly in from LAX approx. 1 hour away.
